Trying something new here.
A good friend of mine is quite skilled with this down tempo style. So we collaborated on this one. I think it's rather chill, and I love the quirky percussion.

I've had this on my itunes since it first came out. Was just re listening and I realize I never left a review for this. Truly incredible, amazing really. I wish it was longer, and believe it or not people I've shown this too have been able to freestyle to the beat as if it were hiphop. Love all the clicks and beeps.
One of your best!
I demand you make others in the same fashion.

YakovlevArt responds:

Haha, thanks dude!
Oh man, I'd love to hear some one freestyle over this.
My buddy, the one I collaborated with to get this style, specialized in slower down tempo beats. It helped me a lot when I was using some of his samples.
Again, thanks for the review!

Great work. Really chill tune man.
Would love a little more presence on the kick, but that's down to preference. And I can hear it goes harder gradually, that's a pretty cool idea.
The voices add so much to the track. Great use of them. And i love how all the instruments together make a nice catchy melody.
The mix sounds really clean and pleasant. I love that.
And the mastering would be a 10 from me if it was a little bit louder (again, preference).
Overall 9/10. 5'd and faved

YakovlevArt responds:

Much appreciated. I never expected to make a track like this, but that's why it's good to collab sometimes.
I do agree, the vocals are what made me want to make the track in the first place.
Glad you liked it.

I can here the complexity in the mastering and i was just wondering what you use exactly to get a very glitched effect like this. Side chain and compressors? Everything i try to make like this is sounds kind of moldy.

YakovlevArt responds:

Hmmm, let's see:
I use Gross Beat for the Side-chain.
Parametric EQ on the things I want without bass.
Then a Multiband Compressor on the whole thing, altering the setting according to what I'm looking for.

That's just the general, of course every track is a different way to master.
Good luck!

Great song !
All those little bleeps and glitches at the beginning are reminiscent of Solar Fields...

YakovlevArt responds:

I must say, they unintentionally inspire much of my music.
