For Bosa's "Dreams of Splendor" contest, obviously. I placed 15th!!! WOO!!!

I have no idea where to begin...ummm. I tried something different with the occasional glitch style in the instrumentals. That took the bulk of creation. Seriously, a lot of effort was put into them. Seems a little silly now because I kind of masked them with my stupid voice. But, I wanted to try singing with a more elongated lyrical structure. Too much going on? Too bad. I wanted to stuff it balls deep so I don't care. Bye.

I posted the instrumentals here so you can take a tiny bit closer listen: http://www.icompositions.

Lyrics:

I was so lost when pictures flew,
And when I awoke next, I thought that I was you.
Splendid, oh, splendid,
I thought great sex was over.
Now that my head is clear,
I won't be needing wine glasses.

Please dreams of splendor rise,
To bear our curious eyes.
All thoughts of difficult lies,
Disappear once you hypnotize.

It's not that far from the bottom ones,
That I see there's a gem in the dirt, now,
High tail and grab it quick before,
The corporations see what they have missed.

I can't enjoy what I already have,
There has to be some game of waste.
You get the hang of feeling bad.
What kind of sinner's got an empty taste?

Please dreams of splendor rise,
To bear our curious eyes.
All thoughts of difficult lies,
Disappear once you hypnotize.

This is the kind of the glitch I like -- this is the larger genre's equivalent of progressive/acid rock. The piece has a bit of a court jester-like feel about it, which I enjoy right off the bat. The music and mixing in and of itself is outstanding: the sub-melodies blend well with each other. The 4/4 to 6/8 to 3/4 transition gives it a bit more of an exotic feel.

The only part which doesn't sit too well with me musically is the ending (4:32 onwards). While I know endings are meant to be anticlimactic, this seemed to be a very abrupt resolution from what you had going on with the song immediately before that. Also, the lyrics, while sung well (I love your voice!), seem to be bits and pieces of themes strung together, that I get lost and puzzled reading them...

If everything were strung together seamlessly, 1) you'd have a piece to shatter everyone else's, 2) you'd have a spectacular, sung character theme which a lot of people could identify with so much -- and I can see this song going in that vein.

4/5.

Once again ZipZipper..you bring your unusual style and surprise everyone with an unique submission that sets you apart from everyone here, each song i hear from you that features vocals gets me hooked and sticks to my head like freaking bubble gum, your voice is once again very enjoyable and very..hmm...the only word i can remember to describe it is as hypnotizing...in a good way..
The intro is really good and sets the right mood and the lyrics fit the song in a good way. The vocals are mixed to perfection and the way you perfectly own different octaves in singing helps a lot. I also love the voice solo at 04:13.
The bad parts in my opinion are some glitchy things that don't fit the song very well like 2:09. I think your voice is a bit off regarding the rest of the song in the word "Over".
Overall the song is very good and memorable, awesome job Zipper!!!

This is perfect. Nice bright sound. I like the hampering effect. The chorus is quite catchy and beautiful. Nice variations. Keeps it interesting. I should give some negative criticism to help you improve, but I can't really think of anything sorry.

Everything actually fits together rather well, there is a place for every tune and you make everything flow very nicely together. it isn't to busy at all, it's actually really well strung and smooth. the voice is also fits really well with the song, it's....what am I looking for........ I can't think of what to say, just know that it fits and there really isn't much that i would say is bad about this. it's soft and slow, almost creepy and it's really well thought out.
