This track was initially intended as a piece of background music to a remake of a certain game on Newgrounds, but did not fit the bill as it was not the feel that the creators and developers were going for. I then revisited the project file, took one last listen to the music, and imagined this:

The setting is a battle in a more technologically advanced, fantastical England. A young girl, after a little bit of preparation, leaps as high as she can, and remains aloft as every stain from her is taken away, every wound on her body is healed. Once she is washed clean, she glows, and her clothes are replaced with a new set of clothes -- glowing, protective ones, akin to armour (think the dress changing scenes from Final Fantasy X-2 mashed with the Cyan Wisp scene from the introduction of Sonic Colours). While all this is happening, there are rays of beautiful heavenly light shining from between the clouds in an otherwise cold, dark and grey English morning.

I had tried to imagine other settings to this piece of music -- testing facilities, starry nights, being inside a computer, even being underneath flashing discotheque lights... but the image of having stains washed away and wounds healed is the one I cherish the most. I'm aware of the Kingdom of Herts influence I brought into this piece... now I know I'm a founding member of K of H, but K of H's stuff has been different from my usual composing style, and I'm beginning to sense a bit of K of H creeping into this piece. Who knows? Maybe K of H may end up developing it in the near future.

Sequenced on FL 10. FPC, Slayer, Autogun and soundfonts.

It was okay. The drums wrecked the whole song. You could have used a different beat. Besides that, I like the main melodies, and the bass.

Troisnyx responds:

What would you suggest, in the way of beat?
I just went with a slightly Final Fantasy X-2 feel on this one, like what you occasionally get in battles and Spherechanges.

Ok,ok you were not lying, i hereby grant you a permit for using Slayer ;)

Though, my favourite part is from 0:37 to 1min, very nice drums.

Troisnyx responds:

Those drums were FPC! *blush* Still, glad you liked them!

Oh, very nice stuff :D You got me right at the intro. And the atmosphere is wonderful. The looping is not bad, and oh, at 0:13 was just great. It felt too quiet and somewhat empty exactly two seconds later, though, even for the tiny build up you created. A letdown, but a tiny one, at that.

This tracks seems to emit a very Linkin Park vibe, for reasons I can't explain, because I don't know them yet ^__^' Perhaps stuff from their Reanimation album, which I love to pieces. Something about the chords and ambiance, maybe.

So you've got this awesome rhythm and it works very well. Nice melodies, too; I like that you reintroduce the theme toward the end - it never really goes away. I can't really get over how much I like this. So just, good job in general! Interesting description, by the way. :) There's nothing better than having something to read or look at while listening to a piece of music, letting the story play out beside your ears.

I like the beginning synths, though the one intruduced at 13 sec feels a bit grating at some moments. Otherwise, the melodies are fine and I didn't think it was repetitive.

Thats really epic!!! Keep doin it bro! I mean, sis))
