The fridge leads the parade.

Just a quick & dirty version of the great Parade song from the Paprika OST (great anime, check it out!), composed by Susumu Hirasawa.

I usually do not rearrange / remix / steal, but I liked that song so much that I thought I'd make a less good version! ;D Done within two or three hours, so don't expect too much, but you should praise the recorder & the gameboy player for doing such a great job. Very classical. *coughs*

I dont even care that it sounds pretty off, that you like paprika to begin with, and like this track in particular makes me throw you a thumb up xD

This was absolutely fucking brilliant - be cool to see what you could do with the main theme - I do sort of agree with the other dude about counter-melodies, maybe just a different section or something could have really beefed it up - this and the main title theme are quite similar in feel but I dunno if they could have worked together in any major way having not attempted it and short of sticking two seperate headphones in my ears with either song playing, I never shall -- And of course I'm grasping at straws here because I loved it overall, wonderful job!

wandschrank responds:

Thanks a lot! I'm glad you like it although it was made in a very short time, compared to my other songs. Counter-melodies are lacking, yes.. the next time I'll compose something similar to this, I shall improve. ;D

Ha that flute! I like Paprika. Susumu's music sounds a little too artificial for my taste, but it fits the mood of this film. Paprika has some great tracks. Including this one.
Nice percussion in here. I would want to hear some more counter-melodies, to get that parade feel. The flute and the gameboy are interesting enough. Maybe some more of that kind of stuff. A mesh of instruments.
Maybe I should upload one of my Susumu Hirasawa covers as well.

Sure, do so, I'm eager to hear it!

Like I wrote, this song was kind of.. rushed. I did not want to spend 20 hours on a melody I did not create by myself, so I just fooled around a bit. You're absolutely right with the counter-melodies.

Thanks for your review!
