Impersonal criticism is like an impersonal fistfight.
Got all three of Pendulum's albums for Christmas and guess what? The "fuck it, I lied" joke, from "Blood Sugar" is not actually part of the track; the person who posted the original video added it in with a text-to-speech program. I wonder how many other people know that?
Don't give up on your dreams just because the field is so full, guys. One day we'll get our shot in the music industry, but it won't happen if we shoot ourselves in the foot by listening to the impersonal, anonymous, faceless online critics. If they're making you sad, stop being sad and be awesome instead.
