Original name is Night Market. But I thought Forest is a much cooler name. This song is part of my album The Village.

I was fascinated by Nightbeat flute works, but his samples is recorded ones. So I though of reconstruct it with raw flutes and mess around with FX in tracker. And I ended up making the song instead of just one part for flutes. That was fun.

If you wondered why it sounds familiar (to who listened my music), because I reused (but modified a bit) a short melody from The Village, lol.

Definitely reminds me of some sort of native indian tribe or maybe even a jungle civilization. This also reminded me of a game I used to play (and still do on special occasions) called Age of Empires II. You have done well, my friend.

This is certainly the kind of excellent music I would expect to hear from you and it is the definition of simplicity -- a positive trait that agrees with me. The samples used are quite synthetic; but, I don't care because I actually prefer it to sound this way. It brings back more nostalgia.

If I can only make one suggestion it would be to increase the volume of the accordions a bit. It's a little too soft, but it's not a big deal really.

Aah! Another AoE lover! It's an honor to me having you review on my music sir. The sample is indeed the low quality type, though, it contains the memories of amateur musicians back in the 90s struggling to write good music. So many nostalgias, indeed. I should increase the accordion's volume once I have a chance to return to my lovely computer :)

Thank you a lot sir for your warm review.

Nice, the flute sounds awesome. To me it certainly does feel foresty, primal in a way. Thought the accordeons could have sat a bit better in the mix! But loved that you had them in there.

Where did you get the drum beat inspiration, Garmarna or something like that?

Agitat0r responds:

Hey, just got access to computer so took me a while to reply.

Yep, I got the inspiration from Garmarna :P (finally someone understood the music!). The accordeon is a synth so it was difficult to mix.

Thanks for the review a lot :D

Forest doesn't quite seem to fit it, but Night Market does, at least in my opinion. The flute and tambourine makes me think of Chinese styled buildings. Overall, I like this song because of the feel =)

Thanks for the inputs a lot. Actually the drum beat is based on Swedish/Scandinavian/Finnish folk, but meh, I don't mind much :D.
