I personally have tried to arrange this song MANY MANY times. It never works out. Even this is WAY too heavy in the low end. Basically the "vault" ambience from "Fallout: New Vegas" had this mechanical hum that just worked perfectly for this. It was the missing piece. But unfortunately, it's super lo-fi in the game, and thus here, and I had to give it a bass boost to make it audible.
EDIT: Well, I talked myself into a better version. It's still a little muddy in the low end (which is weird, because it sounds just fine in FL) but I'm done messing with it for right now.

Great song!Nostalgia~ Really reminds me of super metroid. I really enjoyed the intro but you were right about it being too Low-end Heavy. It drowns out the melody and other instruments. I'm not sure of the problem you are having but maybe just turning down the hum or separating it from the other sounds would make the full peice come out better and give it more dynamics. Other then that, Well done!
