This track was actually recorded 2 years ago. I just had some finalizing to do, and never got around to it till now. I hope you enjoy! It's not that long, and the intro and outro are kinda gay but whatever LOL

lyrics:

I feel eternity would only be torture
It seems impermanence is the one true heaven

Take a turn now before you're down and out
Open up your mind before you lose control
Do a little digging in discovery
Experience awakening

Whatever kind of life that'd be waiting for us
Isn't worth the only 80-something years we got
Appreciation comes from the years we're not
Experiencing anymore

Forever is overrated
Infinity is inhuman
Together we can fight this facade
Fight these fears dying

I keep seeing your name pop up around NG so I thought I would give your music a listen. This is a very beautiful piece, its pretty incredible how much stuff you accomplished in 3 minutes this song really takes you on a journey. I love the big pay off at the end when we hit the chorus, which to my surprise only played once but after listening to it twice I actually really like that about it. Very nice guitar solo as well I get the impression soloing is your "thing" in music, what was the effect you used on your solo at around 1:45? It was very pretty and added a nice flavor to make it distinguishable. I look forward to hearing more like this.

Kor-Rune responds:

I'm glad you gave me a listen! The effect is just a -really- fast flange filter oscillating at like 32nd notes. I actually changed it in a finalized mix to a more classic phaser and made the bass less obnoxious.

Glad you enjoyed my track! Thanks again for listening.

Man your soaring up my favorite guitarist list every time I hear you. What do you think when you solo?
I mean, are you the follow the chord mode guy or do you think intervals? Who inspires your fusion sound? And lastly it says you been making music for five years. Have you been playing guitar longer Because if you can get that good in 5 years you must be under some intense training. Sorry for all the questions. When I hear excellence I try and find out as much as I can.

Kor-Rune responds:

I think about the next phrase, and what techniques I'll use to address that phrase. Kind of like just making sentences, and pausing between them. I mostly just run the scale and land on a jazzy part of the chord so not a lot of intense thought goes into it.

Greg Howe and bands like Haken inspire my sound. I've been playing guitar and making music since 2007, so that makes 6 years.. I just haven't updated it yet lol. I did play 6 hours a day for 2 years straight, and that kind of got me over the hump and comfortable with the instrument. Grinding time always helps. Thanks for the kind words and review! I hope I answered your questions.

The feel of the song was amazing, the vocals seemed a bit off to me in a way I couldn't describe though but that's just me. The guitar was absolutely mindblowing and reminded me of Jeff Beck. Great song!
