"Gotta love the compressers ^^"
date: May 25, 2006
heh, you've hit that problem huh? I hated it when I first tried to use this many instruments, it is difficult to control each voice, and make them sing united. Like herding a crowd of ADHD children, on coffee, and half as pleasent.
Despite its really really fast pace, and notes, the song progresses quite nicely.
The volume is definatly too high, I am unsure of what program you use, but Reason and Fruity Loops both have a "compressor" effect, which will reduce the volume to an acceptable point, and remove all distortion, for sure check that out. If not, lower the master volume by 20-30%.
A pleasent story, I enjoyed listening to it Rythim_Man, great stuff man, 5'ved and dl'ed. Keep em coming.
Damn, you're moving too eh? Drop me a note when you're back on NG, so I can put your page on my "active composers' list ^^.
Once again, great stuff.
Author's Response:
Don't laugh at me, but it didn't sound clear until I played it using my default MIDI player. I have no program that converts MIDI to MP3 though so I recorded using stereo mix :p You can imagine what problems I had. Even though it's stereo mix, the quality is not as high as it would be if I had just rendered it. My program compresses as well, but stereo mix recording is stream recording and there is no compressing method available. So when I played it, it was clear, but once I recorded it, it went all wrong.
