Co-composed with my good friend, Josh Gawaldo.

Bass solo/vocals were me, as well as the original melodic/chordal theme. Josh is on guitar and did the mixing/mastering. We both developed the structure.

Also, I should note: Labbaik is an Arabic word meaning "We are here" that is used as a war cry for a regiment in the Pakistani army. We wanted a title that reflected the song well.

Wow, nice work!

I can already imagine this song as part of original score for next Prince of Persia game/movie :)!

bassfiddlejones responds:

Sounds good to me! Thanks for the review :D

This song is kickass. Everything mixes together wonderfully. Straight to my fave list, you and this song.

bassfiddlejones responds:

Man, thank you so much. My buddy Josh is responsible for the mixing - I'm gonna try and have him get an account on here too :) And if you like this there's a few more like it coming!

really great tone in that bass. do you play french or german bow? also what are you recording with, whatever it was really picked up the depth of that instrument extremely well. I could totally see this in a movie that takes place in the desert. really great man!!

bassfiddlejones responds:

Thanks! I use a german style bow, I find it allows me to be more aggressive while still maintaining a level of finesse. I think that when we recorded this we had a Shure, maybe a KSM of some sort? My friend has since upgraded to a Neumann. At any rate, glad you liked the piece man!

This totally reminds me of my prince of persia "Sands of time" game. Damn, that was one kick-ass game, and this is a stone cold groove!

bassfiddlejones responds:

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it!
