This song is the forest theme for the indy action-RPG Alcarys Complex. Inspired by classic aRPGs like Secret of Mana, Alcarys Complex sought to break established tropes in the genre and reinvent the RPG gaming experience. The game has a heavy focus on narrative and socialization instead of combat, while its graphics and feel stay true to its 16-bit roots.

The game's creators chose to make their soundtrack entirely folk music, because that genre is virtually nonexistent in game soundtracks. So, this song uses delicate, folky instrumentation to describe the beautiful forested valleys of the game world. It is meant to sound truly euphoric, as though the listener is being spirited away into a fantasy world full of wonder and beauty. It features live guitar, recorder, mandolin, and harmonica. The few synth instruments that are present are from various East/West libraries. This song is also an homage to the classic Secret of Mana track, "The Boy Aims for Wild Fields." This song, I can't even put it into words, and I'm usually pretty good with words. It's just great, and it grows on you.
It's a strange sense of calm and adventure in one package.
Also damn you for making me feel again!

Not bad, I kinda like it. I feel like since it's so live and empty, the playing becomes more important, and that wasn't amazing. Not terrible, but not great, you know? The melodies were rather nice, though, and the mix wasn't too bad.
