A remake on one of my first songs, 'Battle of Grovtex'.

I deleted the flp. file for some unknown reason, thus I had to re-compose it. By ear.

I used NI's FM8 for the first time and it literally destroyed my laptop's RAM, thus I had to export the project before I could listen to it & plan edits. I can even smell smoke from my laptop during production...

This is, by far, the heaviest project I've ever run on my laptop.

'Grovtex' is a fantasy province from a novel I'm working on.

Disk cover made by dem0lecule.

the main synth sounds great, however you may want to cut some of its lower frequencies so the drums are a little easier to hear.
the strings were fantastic, i would suggest just not boosting the synths in any way that would compromise the drums.

Thanks for the review.

I should have realized the drums aren't that loud.

This sounds cool! Makes me imagine being in an epic boss battle or in a big race. It's fast pasted, there's some good variety, you changed it up a little before it would get too repetitive, which I like.

There's also some good suspense, with the tension build ups and releases. As I said earlier, it would be good for a boss fight or big race.

If I had to say something about improving...hmm, I would maybe go with making some better transitions. The sudden stops kind of take away from the track and it sounds like a new song is coming in after that second of silence, instead of feeling like a flowing track.

But good job nonetheless, this is still a nice track. I just feel like it would be better if it all flowed nicely together. Keep it up!

Thanks for the review. Transitions have been difficult for me to complete correctly.

This feels very Liquid-y!
I hope that Fantasy Province goes well!

Doesn't sound like Liquid Drum N Bass at all..
It's Video Game Drum N Bass, not Liquid Drum N Bass.
