My first attempt at creating some music on the computer.
I created this song using FL Studio, using a synth already available in Fruit Loops to get a sort of retro, 8-bit sound to it.
This piece took me 2 hours to create in FL Studio (already had the song thought up in my head) and I liked how it turned out, especially for my first shot at this type of music.
The song is a faster, poppy sounding beat, put into an 8-bit form and draws a lot of inspiration from pop-punk/punk-rock music.
Comment and criticism is very much appreciated, as this is my first track, and I have much to learn!
Absolutely fantastic track, I find myself listening to this quite a few times a week.
Wish you'd make more though ;)
Thanks! I suppose I should upload more since it's almost been a year since my last upload.
Reminds me of Blink 182... I forget which song, except instead of Guitars with a electro type beat. Anyways, I like it, it has a nice upbeat feeling after a hard day at work which you can relax too. Enjoyed it and like the others already said some bass would make it even better^^
Words cannot express my love for this track! My main gripe with this is that the bass at the beginning is quite ear-wrenching. Other than that, please make more like this!
Wicked! I am glad you enjoyed it, and I agree with your bit on the intro, especially on poor speakers. Perhaps if more people like you want me to make more, I'd be glad to post some, as I have many more ideas vibrating in my head. :)
~Thank you for your comments!
Sadie Hawkings Dance
Mmmm love relient k :), but its no Sadie Hawkings Dance, however the beginning happens to have the same chord progression as SHD (as well as countless other songs). My song is heavily inspired by the catchy upbeat genre of pop punk though! (such as NFG and blink-182).
I agree a deep bass would GREATLY improve the song maybe you'll get luck and I'll give you than higher newgrounds limits you. anyways good for a first track.
Thanks for the advice! :) I'll try to implement a heavier bass next time around
