UPDATE: 30/10 Uploaded new project audio with some finishing touches.

It's been a while since my last collab piece so here's this song for your listening pleasure. This track was something I was first going to upload almost a year ago but due to many different issues it never got finished until now.

I'd also like to give a huge thanks to everyone that worked with me to make this track possible. They're all amazing at that they do and it was a pleasure working with them to get this thing done.

As for the song itself, the original idea was that it was going to be strictly a cover but in the end I decided just to build around the vocal/main melody. So it's basically a cover with some original composition thrown in. I hope you enjoy!

Lyrics:

Do you somehow remember
How we gazed up at the atmosphere
And How we watched the sunset go and fade away?
As I walk to the future, I'll still keep the promise that I made
From all those endless summer days.

The shadows that hide behind my smile
Extend within every sole expression
Pretending that I am someone else
And giving false impressions

I sit alone waiting for
Someone to tell me that you're okay and where you are
The nights that don't seem to last,
and coming dawns that went by so fast
Their meanings of everything were not far.

Did you fail to remember
How we gazed up at the atmosphere
And how we never saw the sunset look the same?
The promise has been broken, and has vanished with the passing breeze
I can't go back the way we came.

My memories, they're swept around this room
And still I feel like they've been cut in two
I'm shattered, My soul is trembling
As sleep's come into my view.

Please comfort me with your lies
Messy pictures drawn with our eyes,
I hate and love them all
Nowadays we can't see so straight
Emotions torn and drifting away
And that's why I have to bid you Good-bye!

So we waved to each other, saying that we will meet again someday
Our tears, indicating that our meeting was unsure
Still I heard your voice waver, when you said that we would meet again
I won't forget!

Someday you will remember
How we gazed up at the atmosphere
And How we watched the sunset go and fade away?
Recover and embrace all the promises that we can't fulfill
Instead, let's walk on our own way.

...wow. This track was beautiful. Nice and varied throughout, the vocals were good quality and the singer has a great voice. Was a little flat at parts, but I didn't notice it as much, so it doesn't deter from the track that much, as I know what it's like singing and how easy it can be to go flat from time to time.

I also love how you had the bass have the transition riff a lot of the times and how noticeable. Being a bass player myself, I always appreciate songs that have the bass be noticeable, and more important than just backing everyone up and playing root notes. Maybe that makes me biased, but I don't care.

I enjoyed the guitar, and with jaysummers playing, it's to be expected. He's a great guitarist, in my eyes. I like how the solo just "creeped" into the track, and there wasn't really much notice to it coming, as there is in a lot of rock songs I listen to. It was new and sounded great to me. I also liked how well it blended itself with the bass guitar, but still gave room for the bass to shine as well, which, as I said above, appreciate quite a lot.

Aside from the singer going flat only a couple times, which doesn't affect the score for me at all, great song. Good lyrics, good progressions, good instruments, great quality...just wow. You're definitely getting a 5 from me for this. I'm not saying it's perfect, but it certainly gets my respect.

Shanath responds:

Ohh, thank you for the very detailed review. I'm glad you noticed that we were trying to give the bass more emphasis as most songs just use it as backing instead of trying to give it a flavor of its own.

As for the singing, Jess has a really nice voice but I know she had trouble getting a good recording done for this track. It might have been because of the certain style of the song and how she had to get used to it. Jay really shines here as well and I hope to work with him again in the future.

Either way, thanks again for the review. :3

I like it, but I'd like to be overwhelmed be the drums more. They aren't powerful enough. But I really love the melody.

Shanath responds:

I think if the drums were any louder than what they are right now they'd overpower everything else. Thanks for the review though. :3

Oh I absolutely love the mix between the vocals and the instrumental, they flow so nicely together. Very smooth song, subtle transitions and entertaining.

5/5 + followed!! =)

Shanath responds:

Thanks for the follow!
