Information about the track:
This is an old song and so it suffers in places from bad production and not so great drums but overall it's not that bad. I redid most of the production but some things you can't change once they're recorded (like guitar tone).

LYRICS:
Truth be known
World so cold
Can this be a reality or fairy tale
I can't tell what's real
I don't know what's real

What the hell is this before my eyes
Staring at me with demonic eyes
Advancing at me through the broken fog
How can I belive in (one man's god?)

Do you want to be
In my nightmare
In my nightmare

Legends of the old
Coming to my home
Turn my world ash
All things come to pass

Have you ever dreamed that all your nightmares
One day would have meaning
Did you ever think that you would come
Face to face with your demons
Have you even thought you'd seen the season
Of the witch'es laugh
Coming to the world that you now live in
And wash away your innocence

Have no fear my little child
See the world through virgin eyes
All is well throughout the night
It's just a fairy tale
Just a fairy tale
Just a fairy tale
Used to scare you blind
And now I return to you
The fear of the night

Very impressive flow! I agree with SourJovis those small flaws are nice. Doesn't sound so "cookie-cutter".

Great writing and performance, everything matches really well!

MetalRenard responds:

Thanks! What do you mean by "cookie-cutter"? Do you mean generic? If so, thanks again! :)

Great song. You say the song suffers from "bad production". I agree sometimes can't understand the lyrics, because they're too drowned out by the effects and other instruments, and the drums are sometimes out of rhythm. But overall I actually like the production because of "flaws". This gives a more human touch and it reminds me more of classic rock songs. When a song is overproduced it gets boring.

That guitar is so crystal clear! I've tried recording some guitar myself lately.. but my recording equipment consists of a cheap headset. If you don't mind me asking, what did you use to record this? I'm investing in a new external sound card soon and it would be nice to know what you used to get that crisp sound.

Also the vocals around 0:58. Fucking spot on! makes me think of rob zombie in some cases aswell as other industrial metal vocals. Brilliant work!

I'm usually not a fan of this genre, but this was fucking amazing. But I think the section around 0:58 till 1:19 feels a little out of place for me. (even though the lyrics are wicked)

The introduction was fantastic! The melding of the guitar and the bass was very effective, and the vocals reminded me of Alice in Chains (especially around 0:40). When it starts to pick up the vocals get to be a little too much for me (screaming for example)...though that's just for me I would imagine. Overall though, the vocals are great (the laughing at the end was a cool touch!) and the lyrics are quite creative. Getting back to the guitar, very nice riffs and the presentation is nice and clear. Like you have mentioned, the drums are a little bit shaky but it's not a big deal. I think this is a solid song, great work! :)
