Fat Beats and Teq are back again with another track. This one is a bit introspective, but still fresh, so we hope you all like it!

Thanks to Rama for the beat!

(Verse 1 - Fat Beats)
You know that feelin' when you just can't find the motivation
I'm tryin' to supersede the conversation of my contemporaries
Located all the way throughout this gradually degrading nation
I'm part of a generation that's best left alone
Disillusioned by a sense of grandeur that we just can't find at home
I got passion for a lot of things
And I really wanna feel the fire
Just hope that I can articulate
Before they light my funeral pyre
Best start tryin' to reach higher
I grew up in suburbia, my life's not hard but it's tiring
Even hip hop's not something toward which I am aspiring
It's a ridiculous scavenging ground between
Having to try and having it given
It's never too late to make yourself driven
I'm takin' it back and I'm doin' it different
What's my legacy?
How will I be remembered?
If I can take the time to try then those around me know that I've ascended

(Verse 2 - Teqneek)
I struck a bad chord, livin my life from behind a dash board
Fast forward a couple of cycles I'm on a crash course
Black cat under a ladder inside a house
Breaking mirrors with an open umbrella then checking out
And now I'm writing in a prison yard fried in the light
So imma- bribe a guard to let me hide in the night
I need to- free myself from the upset and despair
Hidden behind a public smile but it's never repaired
Rambling man I'm on my last leg balancing
A mantel to land my hand the half dead fallacy
A handle to reach I'm on the fast track alone
Hold a candle for me so I can come back home
Will I be remembered for a youtube video
22 fans I'm in a bedroom studio
What's my legacy am I gonna be remembered
Or be thought of as a soldier who battled & then surrendered

(Verse 3 - Fat Beats)
From an early age we're subjected to all kinds of fantasies
But none of it ever comes to pass
No-one truly makes a masterpiece
Coulda
Woulda
Shoulda
But I didn't so leave it
I really don't need to hear about you would've achieved it
'Cause awwh, look! It's mister fuckin' fantastic
Tell me again about how my life compared to yours slapstick
You know what? I've said it before and here it is again
Fuck it
I'm kinda happy floatin' around and waitin' to transcend

(Verse 4 - Teqneek)
Yeah I'm tearing out my hair, I am unconscious but aware
I am a rocket in the air, Spitting nonsense I don't care
Until the day you pay respect to the words of Teq
I'm gonna live my whole life like a nervous wreck
I swerve, and check myself every now and again
I learn, correct myself when I'm out of my head
I try to find a diamond up in the rough but no luck
So I'll ride into this endless abyss til the sun's up

Great track. You both did a good job but I agree with the other comment about the mixing, it sounds like there's some echoing interfering with the sound which presented a serious issue with Fats' doubletime being coherent. You both came with some solid, heartfelt bars. Teqneek murdered it with multis in his second verse.

The one thing that nagged at me moreso than the mixing was that you both seemed a little aggressive even though you were delivering gentle bars on a gentle beat. Both of you sounded like you could have been scowling and flexing your biceps while you were recording, which was a little disappointing because you both had great bars.

The vocal manipulation on fat beats can be unsettling and muddies up words,

Fat Beats sounds very nice and full, very effective annunciation in terms of the mix, Teqneek almost sounds high passed lol. Both you could sound literally 100% better with proper vocal processing!

Never been a hip-hop guy, just some constructive thoughts

Verse 2 is dope. Loving the double time in verse 1 as well.

Beat is good, you guys fit well over the beat, and best of all, fit well together.

Good stuff guys.
