Nice song! The composition was wonderful and full of good taste. I would love to hear the last chord some longer next time ;)
I am really glad you have done a new classical piano-piece :D Its very lyrical (bel canto style!) and creates a feel of floating. Beautiful! I agree with Mdatheking in the point that the piece seems to have modern impacts but they dont destroy the romantical concept. What was very chopin-like in my opinion was the selection of chords and harmonics you have used - especially within the mid-section 0:40-1:18. Only thing which can be criticised is the abrupt ending :D To create waltzes just seems to be your thing - plz make more :D
This is really nice. Great job!
I like this piece quite a lot, however I will have to disagree with ZipZipper on one point. This sounds more like a modern piece, with subtle hints of romanticism, rather than a romantic piece with modern influences. That ephemeral moment from 1:17 to 1:20 was actually incredibly reminiscent of Chopin, but it slowly progressed into modernity. Overall, a nice waltz, however I personally believe it is (generally) lacking the Chopinesque features advertised in the title. I think you are quite a talented composer; perhaps if you polished your style a bit more we could hear great things from you. My suggestion is that you compose a few pieces inspired by Erik Satie, I think his style might suit yours. Either way, nicely done!
I've been told that another one of my short pieces, Overcast World, sounds something like Satie. You should check it out, if you haven't already, and see if you would agree.
Thanks for the review!
Oh very nice. Romantique and maybe a little spice of modernity. I actually loved the sort of bridge at 00:40. I think that part was the point where the spice of modernity came in. This could technically loop, but it would have been really really nice to hear it go on longer. This piece is perhaps too concise. I'm sure it could have been taken farther, and knowing that your musicianship is overly outstanding, I think you know it too...though I can't help but love a short waltz. Well done!
