I like the concept of the song, I don't very much favor the execution. Mixing electro and swing music seemed like a good idea, but the finished product doesn't so much combine the two genres as much as it puts them side by side. By that, I mean that there were parts that felt like they were clearly electro and parts that were clearly swing to the point where it's almost jarring.
The closest this gets to actually combining the two would be a drum beat over some trumpets. One way to resolve this would be to have more sections combining the two genres with more things unique to the respective genres. Possibly have a low trumpet going along with some high pitched keyboard having them both harmonize. Or pushing the idea further, some Sinatra-style vocals along with a robotic voice showcasing how the two genres can really blend together to make a new song.
Overall this song has some great potential that it doesn't really capitalize on. This could show how two uniquely different styles can come together and make something great. Instead it only does half of that and only shows us the uniqueness of the two genres side by side. While that can be good for some cases, it isn't here.
