Hey there! So I've posted several other tracks from the game that I've been scoring called Project Ark, and here's the latest track!

It's for the very first town you visit. The level is called Bios Bay, and so I wanted to go for a relaxing beach-y feeling with this. It was partially inspired by the music of Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy VIII.

As always, feedback is welcome and encouraged, even if it's negative. Also, please note that the track isn't properly mixed yet, just levelled out.

Ever since I heard this on Mrchronos1's video showing Bios Bay, I found it peaceful. it kinda has a nostalgic feel to it too, for me anyway, maybe that's a personal thing. Either way Iv'e had this on constant loop for nearly an hour.
I don't think this suits a beach however, more like a small village or a open plain.
When I think "beach" I think of African percussions and steel drums with maybe a random Ukulele.
Anyway This is very relaxing, very similar to the music you would hear in older Sims games when building stuff (maybe that's where I'm getting the nostalgia from).

If you do want to make a Beach Theme, Don't scrap or edit this, i suggest making another track, because this one is good as it is, just for a different setting.
Anyway, well done! I can't wait until the game is finished and I can hear more of these!
Good luck to you and the team working on the game!

I definitely get that Kingdom Hearts vibe from this, in particular, the game's opening screen where there's the kind of somber piano playing. That's kind of good for the song and yet, at the same time, not very good.

It doesn't reflect badly on the overall quality of the song, that's still very good, just with the theme of it. You wanted to go for a relaxing beach feeling with this and when all I can think about is the piano interlude from Kingdom Hearts, to me it doesn't really sound like a "let's-relax-on-the-beach" tune, it sounds more like a "let's-look-longingly-into-the-ocean-
whilst-reflecting-on-the-past" tune, to me anyway.

One way to possibly remedy this (if it needs remedying) would be to possibly make it sound a bit more upbeat or maybe some light acoustic guitars. It would sound more happy and happiness is usually synonymous with relaxation. All in all, it's a solid track, it just seems a bit confused with the tone it's trying to set.
