Hey everyone!
This is a rather short theme in a typical and traditional blues structure. It is written in b-minor for two guitars, one harp, finger snaps and hi-hat percussion. As you might have noticed this composition sounds a lot like those from the good old Super Nintendo, and that's because I used Final Fantasy VI soundfonts (made by a musician called William Kage - I recommend searching for his music because he's really good at 16-bit composing).
Well, the idea of this song... I always had those cheesy, over the top motivated heroes in mind. Those who would never give up no matter what happens. But are those real people? Isn't it much more realistic if even they had to step back for once because they just cannot handle everything? So I made this blues with the image of a lousy and dark bar in my mind, our heroes being exhausted, maybe even drunk and angry. The song only has to suggest a tired feeling, nothing more.
It's my first attempt at a 'real' video game song, so any form of criticism is highly appreciated.
Anyway, I hope that you enjoy this song! If you are curious you might as well check out the video I made for this composition - you can find it on my YouTube channel or by following this link: http://www.youtube.com/wa tch?v=hxaixZgxukQ
Thank you very much for listening,

Very chill, very soothing song. I like the bit age style, very cool. I like the simplicity, as it gives it that little kick of nostalgia that takes me back to older RPG games. It's almost as if I can feel myself walking into a wizard's bazaar, preparing to buy some goods in the desert from an old, cloaked, glowing eyed man. Good stuff! Keep up the good work, mate.

Just from listening to it, it sounds like a seriously dark spy theme.
Anyways, the guitars are very emotionally pleasing to listen to. I think this has some great potential. I'm not a video game music person though, so I can't really give any advice on the mastering, as there isn't really any. I didn't find it too repetitive or anything. I was kind of hoping for a VII7+9 chord in there somewhere, though. :P
Anyways, It's very nice. 5.5, 4.5/5. I can't find anything wrong with it, although it could have more effort put into it, perhaps.
I'd appreciate if you'd look at my songs and critique them as well. Thanks. n.n
Thanks for your review!
I tried to keep the song as simple as possible so I didn't vary too much with the chords or melody lines. Maybe I'll try some experiments with my next songs! ;)
