So I received a rather massive boost of inspiration lately and made this.

Title: C23 - Skyward Disaster (Version 1)
Estimated Genre(s): Drum N Bass; Video Game
BPM: 200

I'm actually surprised that my laptop was capable of running and finishing this project, as this is a very heavy project to run. You deserve a 'good job', my laptop. =P

This is some mixture of VG, D&B and (somehow) Classical, and the styles included are heavily influenced by ParagonX9 and NemesisTheory.

Someone wanted me to include some sort of climax, so I did. The climax thingy is my first try at it, so yeah, judge it whether it's better than my repetitive styles. That same person also wanted me to make the beats more D&B-like. Some sections will be more or less D&B-ish.

Yesh, this has a slow start, I know.

Made with FL 10.

Enjoy. Skyward Style! =]

I'd have given it more except for the mixing. I wish the drums had blended a little more than overpowering the melody and background chords.

Perhaps that was your intention. In any case, I really liked what I was hearing. I'll be checking out more very soon.

Chrausner responds:

Hm-hm. I designed those beats like that on purpose because I've been told that my normal style isn't really true D&B, so I made over-powered beats.

Thanks for the review.

Great song! The intro was really well done. If there was one thing that I could not get past though, was the celesta/bell-like sound you used throughout the body of the song along with the the more hard sounds and synths. In some parts, it fits extremely well, yet in others it was didn't fit quite as well. It would be really cool if you reserved one portion of the song for just that sound alone (perhaps with some back beat to accompany it) but as I said before, it often fits really well in certain parts such as 2:34 onward. I can see how you were inspired by NemesisTheory and ParagonX9, as it sounded similar to their styles! Ultimately though, solid song. :)

I know what you're talking about.

I was trying to avoid repetition, so I made each section have different patterns that are not similar. Some fit well while others...kinda failed. =P

Thanks for the review.
