This piece is from the same cancelled shoot 'em up game as my previous upload, Corridors. I made it in 2008 and it was supposed to serve as the song playing during the outro sequence as well as the credits. I really wanted the music to add to the seriousness and gravity of the plot and to turn even a simple animation accompanied by some text into a satisfying conclusion.

You can hear that the song is divided into several distinctive parts. The first part ending at 1:30 was supposed to accompany the rather optimistic ending sequence which tells you "yeah, you did it!". The next ranging to 2:20 where the solo sets in would show you the "dark side" of the ending telling you "despite your efforts, things look bad, the job isn't done yet" (no matter whether there would be a sequel). The guitar solo would then accompany the actual credits.

Everything is great expept for the guitars. I don't feel they are good in here.

Thanks. And yeah, indeed. While I generally think that electric guitars are a good instrument for the song in retrospect I definitely don't like how they sound here.

Terrific piece of music. The song depicts exactly what you wrote in your description for the song. I could see this as an ending for a story that would have a sequel (or trilogy). Since I myself am writing novels and stories, I am always looking for music that will inspire me to lead on. This song, has done just that. Terrific piece of music like I said in the beginning, but continue making pretty damn awesome music

Thank you very much. I'm always very glad to see reviews that confirm that I achieved what I was aiming for and inspiring people is pretty much the best thing that could happen. Again: Thanks. :)
