This is a piano rendition of the first halve of the song Ouverture, that I uploaded earlier. To me it's about escape from depressing life and venturing into a beautiful fantasy world.

I played this song myself, on a Yamaha psr3000, with sustain pedal, with the voice Live! GrandPiano. I used a Tascam US-144MKII audio interface and an old version of Sony Acid, to record. It's mastered in Reason. I know some people have a problem using Reason to master, but I think it sounds organic, and it's all I have anyway. You can hear I'm not the best piano player, but I don't mind. I think imperfection can make a song more beautiful. I hope you do too.

Imperfections indeed can make songs more beautiful. Dependant on how well orchestrated the song is I can visualize scenes in my mind. This made me visualize a cool snow covered forest on a full moon's night. Something is moving through, not human but not animal. It's searching, silent but for the crunching of the snow. It feels warmth but sees no light, the search is endless. It moves to the warmth to continue its search...

You've created an interesting setting with a very mysterious creature. There is no answer as to why or how it will end in my mind from what I hear. More could've been said through the music with quantity as the quality is already there.

I am getting a sense of mystery from this song, and would be perfect for a Church themed dungeon in an RPG.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, it gave me a feeling of exploring an archaic abandoned, possibly haunted mansion but it wasn't a bad feeling as you would probably expect. It sounded pure, the piano emphasizes that. It reminded me somewhat of Katawa Shoujo's soundtrack which I absolutely adore, so please keep making tunes.

Thank you. It's a nice compliment you compare this with the music from Katawa Shoujo. The feeling you describe is exactly what I had when I composed the part 0:27-1:04. Did you hear the orchestral version of this song as well? I made that earlier, and it's also on Newgrounds. I will make more tunes.
