Full title: Golden Sun- Battle Theme Piano

Here is another scratch-made piano/electronic cover of the main battle theme from the 2001 Gameboy Advance game Golden Sun.

This is the result of another 2-day marathon composing session. ^_^; This is easily one of my favorite songs from any RPG: one that I've been wanting to do a remake of for quite some time. I think I managed to emulate the original tune with this MIDI sequence.

Hope you enjoy this track!

I reply to all reviews so feel free to leave one. :)

A special thanks to everyone at Sonic Paradox for critiquing and helping me debug my MIDI sequence. Thank you all very much! ^_^

Quality piece, I'll start with that.

Next, Instrumentation variety is not a huge deal for me. When someone put's the word "Piano" in the title of every piece, what do you expect?

Lastly, you're a bit off tempo in this piece. Maybe half a measure. Enough to change it from a battle theme to a dialogue transition scene.

4.5 Stars, 5/5

Glad to see my piano/electronic sound scheme is being liked by so many people. :) As for the slower tempo, I thought it worked better with my choice of sounds. This track didn't sound quite right when running at the same tempo as the original, but that's just my opinion.

At any rate, thank you very much for a very thorough and honest review. I really appreciate it! ^_^

Eh.

Dude all your remixes sounds exactly alike. I mean sure they don't suck but I listened to a lot of these and they use the same instruments in every one of them. I mean it sounds nice for a while but a little variety here and there won't hurt. Soooo yeah come on buddy try harder

DrMackFoxx responds:

I agree that changing things up a bit is a good idea. However, since my latest submission "BloodyTearsPianoRemix" wound up in the Featured Content section, it would seem I am not doing a bad job overall.
