Electronic - Drum N Bass

Author Comments

Hey dudes, my mind decided to (re)make a song using a different atmosphere than my usual songs.

A remake of Avination in PEACEFUL mixture style.

'Avination' was inspired by my friend Avizura, which explains quite a lot why I turned from Video Game to Drum & Bass. I still can't make 100% Drum N Bass, but at least I tried over and over.

Now, with my new-gained music theory knowledge and etc, I enchanted composition and production on this version, which I called 'Avination II'. For further reference, DO NOT listen to the old version. It sucks a lot.

If it isn't clear, Avination was made by me under my former alias. Version 1 was a RMX of an intro, but this one will be much more fact, this is not even a RMX; it borrows styles instead.

This song begins calmly and slowly, but it eventually goes into fast-paced mode as the song goes on. I blended some Chinese and Japanese spirit into the song. Japan and China, please make peace, not war.

Made with FL 10.

Enjoy. =]

I don't want to be rude, but this song is very mediocre. I feel like, with the song, you were building up to more than what actually happened. Another thing is that the drums feel incredibly out of place. They're really loud, and it sounds like you grabbed them straight out of a Vengeance sample pack and just slapped them on you song. The same goes for the transitions that you used.

Also, listening to this more, what happened at 1:40? The main melody decided to go all stupid and wayyyy out of the scale that you had. I don't know what you did, but you should really fix it. I feel the same about the choir samples you used at 2:38. Maybe you were trying to incorporate some major scale into the song, and it just messed up? I don't know.

Now, I shouldn't be a downer throughout this whole review, should I? I enjoyed some of the synths and other instruments you used, like the choir; they really helped the atmosphere of the song. You said in the description that you were influenced by Chinese and Japanese folk music, and I can definitely hear that in this song.

TL;DR: Fix the drums, the transitions, and the melodies/chords going out of scale and out of whack.

Louder melody, quieter drums. Pretty good.

drums are nice, but the melodies and bassline / pads DO NOT FIT. There is what sounds like random notes being played, and it doesn't fit at all. pads and bassline are ok.

if you want tips, hit me up in a pm.

check my tunes if you don't think i'm qualified enough! 3.5/5.
