Oldskool Rover is back with my new style of mastering too. I've taken and improvised melodies from the Runescape song "Troubled" and the mulder noise in the Star Defender 3/4 sound track. The song is slow, unlike the other ENSC and the intro very long, it ends at somewhere around 2 minutes, I know, but after the first "big part" it should move around a bit.

After halfway completing this album, I will start finishing the Trilogy album series containing BLUR, SHIFT and FUSION. ...yay...

PS, the audio on Newgrounds is acting weird; it's causing one of the kicks to have a weird "wired" sound, most noticeable in the beginning, but when I play it in Windows Media Player, it doesn't appear. I will post this on SoundCloud and I will hope it won't do that.

[EDIT] Okay, I decided to listen to the song with WMP, and it sounded so amazing and I was like "dufuq?" So I went on Newgrounds and found out they f*cked up my audio, it centered my stereo hats, gave every instrument with Fruity Reeverb that "wired" sound too, muted the treble part of the bell arpeggio, blurred the whole instruments heavily and destroyed my white noise completely. SoundCloud was worse so YouTube is my only hope.

[EDIT 2] The title of the song is changed to "Caliginous" for parabola reasons.

One of your first masterpieces, Rover! I listened to dozens of your audio but this seems to be one of your best creations. You're a synth genius and you deserve 5 stars!

RoVeRDude58 responds:

Wow really? I didn't know that people actually do follow me (I'm kinda under the ranks :P) Thanks dude, I really appreciate it ^.^

EDIT: I didn't see what song you reviewed it from (I'm using the feed thing). So it was Caliginosity :o. I actually liked this piece. I played this song on the piano first and I thought it would make an interesting ambient track, but it was really difficult to come up with an idea at first. But after a month later I came up with the bass melody and just have the mulder noise from Sparking Ideas and it came out great! I'm glad you liked it man, but sorry I'm not gonna be posting often my Pre-Cal teacher is a homework monster >:D

This song is fairly good, however I have one problem. This is not trance, or really even close. Trance is usually characterized by 124-145 bpm tempo along with a four on the floor kick for a majority of the song(not always on the kick).
Overall, I'd say this is a good song, but it should not be posted as trance.

RoVeRDude58 responds:

Theres different subgenres to trance, but even if this song isnt, theres no other genre that newgrounds could specify, i even put ambient to the tags :l

RoVeRDude58 responds:

Thanks, and I might... this kind of stuff is sort of hard to make and when it comes to music like this, quality is key to make it sounds like what it is, but NG messed up the audio and everything sounds horrible. So ya, Thanks Cahzmana!

RoVeRDude58 responds:

Thanks, I tried to make like an aqua soundscape. I wish I could make it louder though. Thanks for the review!
