HAY GUIZE, CHECK OUT MAH NEW SUNG, I'NT IT GRATE!!?!??!??!!!1/!???1?
!?

...okay, honestly, this is something from *literally* about 2 years ago (timestamp is Jan 17, 2011). I'm just going to upload 2 songs from when I first was starting to make my own music to show people "Hey, I sucked horribly when I started too :D". This was made with Musescore, then exporting to a .mid file and converting that to a .mp3. By the way, the echo sounds in there were made manually without a delay function or anything. -hooray useless trivia-

The other song I'm uploading has a timestamp of Nov 24, 2010 and was made using Noteflight (yeah, the website, lol). You can find it here: http://www.newgrounds.com /audio/listen/501072

Finally, last thing I'm going to say regarding old songs is that the first song I ever made with FL Studio, called Into the Depths (Yes, that was the first one I made. I actually finished it on May 28, 2011), improved drastically in quality mainly due to higher quality instruments (even the FL Studio defaults were better!), if not composition. You can find Into the Depths here: http://www.newgrounds.com /audio/listen/427918
You can also find the last song I made exclusively with Musescore here: http://www.newgrounds.com /audio/listen/413998

...now, I'm just going to say one last thing overall. Don't give up even if you think your music is crap now! You can get better! ^_^ I certainly did, as I'm betting you can hear.

Enjoy if you can. And if not, well... sorry about that! ^_^` I'm working on a big amazing cool project right now with experiments in sound design, so don't worry!

I can see you put a lot of effort into this, and not that I don't applaud that effort, but this isn't classical in any way, by its very definition. You may want to try using organic instruments, and also create a melody line that is consistent with the techniques of a certain time period in history. Ei... 17th century,.. 18th century.

I say you are doing a great job by creating ideas here, and getting feedback. It will certainly contribute to the end result being a well thought out piece that you create.

Later,

~J

SkyeWint responds:

Hello. Apologies for putting it into the classical section. I'll move it ASAP. Unfortunately, your critique might be a bit wasted on this one. :/ In the description I had said that this is a song from almost literally 1.5 to 2 years ago compared to when I uploaded it. Since then, I've gotten quite a bit better and can actually put together a coherent song that's notably more enjoyable to listen to. ^_^

Ugh... I want to puke. XD Lol! I like a lot of the chords, but the synths are all cheesy... Especially the guitar. Xp But it isn't terrible.

SkyeWint responds:

Pff, the synths are TOTALLY cheesy. Actually, I don't quite mind the E-piano sound, it's almost decent. ...used it horribly then though. Ah well. Early stuff with just plain midi.

A little better. Just not my kind of music.

SkyeWint responds:

Hey, that's understandable. ^_^ They were pretty crap back then. Just thought I'd upload them to show people that hey, I sucked too at one point.
