Today, you wake up cold and shivering. Everything appears to be cast in blue and white. As you start looking around, it's obvious where you are. Inside a glacial cave. The only ways to see anything of the outside world are through the natural windows of the glacier.
...yeah, that's what was going through my head with this song. Well, that and "I need to get these drums to sound good nao". So I worked VERY hard on them. ...also tried out some new effects, though if you can't hear that you either have horrible speakers or you're half-deaf. :3
Anyway. Hope you enjoy! :D This was fun to make.
Time used: Something like 15 hours. Mainly took that short of time because I was able to focus solely on this (having pretty much nothing else I COULD do) for about 10-12 hours earlier today.
I'd list all the VST/VSTi/soundfonts/FX samples/whatever, but I'm uploading this on a computer that doesn't have the project file and couldn't open it if it did. So... I'll just say that there are surprisingly few instruments in this song.
Okay, enough with the massive description. Bye!
Oh, forgot one thing. Enjoy~

This reminds me a lot of some of the songs I know from various "Gothic Music Compilations", that came with the gothic magazines I used to read when I was a teen (never really was a "goth" though).
I really like this song. It creates a very good atmosphere, very dense and kind of creepy. I also like the effects you used here. When trying out new effects, there's always the danger of overusing them. But I think you did a very good job here in the amount of effects you put into this song. Not too much, but enough so the song doesn't become boring.

Loved this one. Very chill in the beginning, and all through the entire piece really. I liked how the song started off quiet and slow, and then kicked up the pace a little bit; very nice touch if I don't say so myself. The beat was steady, and seemed to flow with the song very well, too. The screech towards the middle, while slightly distracting, did seemingly add to the song, and was a nice addition.
The only complaint I can think to make is that it seemed to drift a little too long towards the middle before it changed pace and sped back up again. This can usual cause some harm to the song if left out for too long. It needs to constantly have a single flavor to it so it can keep the song interesting, and non-confusing.
Great job, either way. Keep up the good work!

I like this one of yours. :D This is a relaxing song, very great.
Hey, thanks! it can be kinda relaxing sometimes, and intense in a few parts. I did try to make it pretty ambient though, and I'm glad you like it! :D

Very atmospheric song. But I can't say that it creates an "I feel cold" vibe, as much as it does an "I really don't want want to be here" vibe.
LIke your in another dimension and you're surrounded by plants with 17 rows of purple teeth that secrete a substance that turns you into a bowl of noodles that you can dunk Oreos in and then eat with tartare sauce made from funny looking butterflies.
Aside from that though, I'm really impressed with this, and those new effects really make an impact.

Mmm... Noodles...
...that is a very, very strange description you had. Wow. But okay, yeah, I do have to agree. It does give a vibe that's a lot spacier than cold.
Overall though, I have no idea how I managed to make this so well. xD It was the result of a lot of boredom and way too much time on my hands. The effects were an extreme experiment with flangers, slide notes, and guitar rig 5. Was pretty fun.
