Sound Familiar?
I thought i would try placing this snippet with 2 different mastering techniques.

At approx. :30 The song will change from Master A to Master B which Master do you think sounds best?

Any input is appreciated.

Definitely A~! Like others said, it sounds louder and more open.

I'm going to agree with Obsideo on this one. Master A just seemed a lot more open to me and brought out the feel of the beat better.

DJDureagon responds:

I think A sounds a bit over-processed but, only in a slight way. Thanks for the input.

I liked the first one better, it just seemed more open. The second one sounds like the sound is almost cramped.

DJDureagon responds:

The second one sounds flatter i think.

I like them both and I can't say which is better given that both feed to different soundscapes that I dig.

The first version is very clear and open. It's like a clear open sky to me. Everything accented and made to exhibit individual flavor as a part of a whole.

The second is closed in a little more from the top where the sample is coming from. The sample also has that breathy feeling that some of your old joints do. The second one is much closer to your original style, the first one is on some other ish.

Keep on wit it D, I gotta see where you take this journey of yours.

DJDureagon responds:

I wish i could make journeys. I just make music i like to listen to. I think i like A better but i think red nails up further up.
