Honestly, this is one of the most ambient songs I've ever made. It was mainly inspired by the pad that you can hear in the beginning and end of the piece, which creates one hell of an ambiance (wouldn't you agree? :P).

However, the main other thing I'd like to point to with regard to this song is its other purpose. This song is essentially a giant tribute to the group RunningShadows (who I am linking to as inspiration) - I tried making it in their style, though obviously with my own things added in. They're a vastly underrated and unknown group that's very, VERY good at making electronic ambiance like this. I honestly respect them a lot. :) So if you have the time, I just ask that you go give a few of their songs a listen, see if you like them~

Thanks, and enjoy!

P.S. One last thing is that my new profile picture is a result of making this song - it's what is called a "Super Photon". If you look it up, I'll bet that my profile picture is what you'd find under the first of the images.

Really nice song. I love the way it starts out with a slow and soothing pace before eventually quickening up a bit. It keeps a nice, steady rhythm all throughout and I love the tone and feel of it all. This is definitely one of those rare songs that manages to send chills down my spine, as well. This song seems like it would go great in the background of an adventure game during exploration.

Either way, very good work, great song. Keep up the good work, I look forward to seeing more of this type of work from you.

Hello there!

The steady rhythm is the classic 4/4 kick drum beat - a kick on every single quarter note.

The overall ambiance, I'd have to say, is *probably* because of the amazing pad I found in my library of sounds.

I'm glad you like it! RunningShadows does some interesting music of this type, and I'll try to make more music similar to this. :)

In my opinion, this piece is really fun to listen to when you're dozing off in your own daydream and just plain thinking. I really like the ambiance of this piece.

Wow. I could imagine adding this awesome thing to the beginning... And then your lead started, and shut my mind up. Wow.

I know nothing about music, so cannot critique it. But I know what I like, and I liked it. I used it in a short YouTube video. http://youtu.be/lCaCke-p_mk

Hey! That's a pretty cool video you made there. Thank you for using it! :)

I have quite a few more songs that are pretty ambient and might work well for background music - if you want to use any of those, feel free to!

Nice job! :D A nice calm song, I really enjoy this one of yours!

SkyeWint responds:

Hey, thanks! Honestly, if you liked this, I'd suggest checking out some of RunningShadows' music - they make a lot of stuff like this, as well as more glitchy music that's also awesome.

Their songs that are more like this (in my opinion) are Ezreal, Brooding, Caecilian, and Cervid. :)
