I reply to all reviews so feel free to leave one. :)
Rings? oh those things you've been relying on this whole time. well have fun fighting two bosses without them. Another great track that I will now have on my phone, thanks....... Wow thats a weird thought. The first time I ever reviewed one of your tracks was back during a time, when having music on my phone wouldn't have even been a thought.
I remember the first time I just waited at the beginning of the Death Egg stage in Sonic 2. I suspect very few people had ever listened to the music there fully. I found the track fitting for the setting. Glad you also liked this tune! Thanks for another great review. :)
Another where most of it just melds together. But, it's not as... bad. The lead piano stays true, and improves upon the original... the back-up piano is actually hard to hear. And I don't like that. It literally just melds into the background as if it's afraid the lead piano'll bite.
I'm terribly sorry for the string of negativity.
No need to apologize. :) A lot of tracks from Sonic 2 have proven to be quite challenging to adapt to my piano/electronic sound: Wing Fortress Zone, Metropolis Zone and especially this one. I agree that the backup instruments need a bit of a boost. I'll see what I can do.
In the meantime: thank you very much for another honest and helpful review. :) They are always appreciated.
That one song that nobody ever heard all the way until they decided to wait, haha. I like the tension you put in the piece, though I almost wish there was just a bit more. In any case, I really like it!
Greetings, CptOlimar! It's been a while since I've seen a review from you. Personally, this is one of those songs from Sonic 2 that is rather forgettable, isn't it? Especially as you do have to just sit around at the beginning of the level or in the sound test menu to hear this thing out. I agree that more tension would be a good addition, although how to do that escapes me.
At any rate, thank you very much for the excellent review and I'm glad you enjoyed this tune! ^_^
