Here is a piano/electronic remix of the stage BGM Underground Zone from the Game Gear version of Sonic 2.
This is a collaboration between me and John "EspioKaos" Weeks.

MIDI modified and used with permission. Please note: I do have written permission to post this from John Weeks.
I reply to all reviews so feel free to leave one. :)
Like the original music, LOVE this remix, Hate the game.
I know its a good game, Like most sonic games, But the boss fights.....NO RINGS!
I always end up failing at The first boss. But still, Great music like all the music you make.
Maybe more 3D Blast music or sonic 3 music ( On its own Without S+K ) Like mini-boss or end credits.
Sonic 2 on Game Gear is pretty notorious for it's boss battles, especially on the first zone. Mostly because the Game Gear's resolution is much lower than the Master System. As a result, less than half the play field is visible on screen, making dodging those falling rocks much more difficult than it should be. X_X It is doable, but good luck, nonetheless.
Glad you enjoyed this song a lot and thanks for another great review! :)
And here we go with the Game Gear once again. A song in the game that made ya just wanna MOVE. God, Game Gear music was fantastic.
Not to mention this remix is as well. You kept the overall feel of the song, but didn't amp it up. You kept it level and just pounded the listener with awesome, just like the game itself. It's absolutely fantastic.
Oddly enough, I had not played Game Gear Sonic 2 in several years, until I heard the original version of this song in a YouTube video. At that point, I remembered how much I had enjoyed 8-bit Sonic 2 and I just had to try redoing the game's soundtrack. Great to know this track turned out well, :) Thank you very much for the excellent review!
Man, I really underestimated the gamegear, this is great
I find it's hard to go wrong with any Sonic the Hedgehog game soundtrack: even the 8-bit ones tend to be very, very good. :) Thank you very much for the great review and I'm glad you enjoyed this track!
