I don't consider it cheesy as much as awesome, it's very nice.

I'd like to see more like this, but with different sounds, and the drums were pretty great too.

Good work amigo!

Author's Response:

Lol, I wasn't ever expecting someone to call this awesome. I've never been a fan of trance but I thought I'd give it a go.

Anyway, i'm pleased you liked it but I don't think i'll be making many more like this.

Cheers, James

Thanks for your review on my "Hitler hacks LINUX", it is my habit to return reviews so here I am :)

This Cheesy Trance is indeed cheesy, but good nonetheless, however, I'd have liked a little more edges to it. The half-time part is very cool, but I'm losing interest toward the end, because, well, it's too cheesy... I'd say either you empty the entire can of Trance-cliches, or you provide us with a completely unexpected change of style - both would make it less predictable.

Still, a very good job, sound production is awesome and it's clear that you know what you're doing. 4/5

Author's Response:

This was a total experiment, but I thought I try and go for that cheesy trancy sound that seems to be popular. I know exactly what you mean by too cheesy, and yeah if I were to take this song seriously, i'd definitely add more too it.

Anyway thanks for the review.

"Thats.....very good for a first try"

Long time no see Jimbob!
This is cheezy, but you make it work. All you need is some vocal about love, beaches or 'falling together through time', and this one could be big in Ibiza!
The half time rhythm gave it a nice Darude flavour, and it sounds acoustic too! I was just missing a stronger off-beat hat to get my heart really pumping to this badass Euro!
The lead synth line sounds great. Nice builds and transitions, although a little delay on the cymbal might be nice. And the choir pad gave it a nice retro charm.

Keep up the great work!

P.S More techno please?

Author's Response:

Cheers for the review Padman. I thought i'd just try something completely different.

I have to agree some vocals would be good over the top. But good vocals are hard to find.

Cheers for another great review,

James

P.S. I'll get working on another techno tune!
