First real song outside of soundtracks as far as electronic music goes, hope you like it! A somewhat breakbeat and Prodigy-inspired track.

Probably one or two build-ups too many in there..

Very mystical vibe. Would fit well within a game environment, perhaps something like Timesplitters?

My thoughts:
- The mix down sounds a bit off. I'm not sure which instrument is doing it but something is cluttering the mix. Try getting them snares and hi hats to come through a bit more in the main sections and drop a bit on the kick.
- Use another cymbal + reverb + choppy effect at drops to accompany the other cymbal. It'll add more emphasis and sound pretty nice aswell.
- Add more hi hats, like a constant one during the beat but have the volume of each note differ so it plays in a sort of rhythm? Usually works well for Drum and Bass.
- Add more sound effects. Prodigy are renown for their crazy sounds sounds which actually make the track awesomer.

All in all, good job :)

i think I found myself a battle theme for when I start doing my extreme combat shorts.

First thoughts: For some reason I keep being reminded of the Portal 2 OST - especially some of the filtered basslines and builds I keep expecting Wheatley's leitmotif to come in. It could even be interpreted as a new genre-take, even if it wasn't intended that way.

Don't worry, I loved the Portal 2 OST :P

I very much liked the composition of the piece - the less energetic parts transitioned well into the build-ups, and all in all it was a great listen. The ending seemed a bit cut short to me, though.

Your bassline synths were good, but the others did get a little repetitive, both in melodic and instrumental terms. But it definitely is a sound for DnB I've not encountered before.

I guess in summary, you've done a great job! Looking forward to hearing more from you!

descara responds:

Heh, I certainly don't mind being compared to the Portal OST ;)

Repetitiveness in the lead was certainly one of the main problems with this, along with some aspects of the mix and filtered basslines that I'd like to redo sometime. Thanks for your comment!

Dont really know what to say, i really like it... and is kinda diferent from the others Drum N Bass musics

descara responds:

No need to say anything else, your comment's much welcome! Glad you thought it was a bit different, while The Prodigy was the main source of inspiration sound-wise I wanted it to have a bit of a unique, gritty sound.
