Here it is, my version of Last Battle made in Fruity Loops Studio 10.
Once again, my apologies for any butchering by my part. Pretty sure that square, sine and saw waves can't be copywritten by anyone, so i'm pretty sure i'm safe using it as an instrument.
Hope you enjoy it!
You, sir, win the internet.
It's not dubstep, It sounds realistic...
You made it sound amazing, And it's more than layered sound.
THIS IS MY CRACK!
love it and i do play cave story all day
It definitely sounds like the last battle from Cave Story. Also I believe that scubasteve92 thought that this was an original song rather than your version of the song. However, he does have a point about making it more dramatic. Overall, this was pretty good!
Yeah, this was more of a rearrangement than a remix. I think i could've made it more dramatic with a more realistic selection of instruments. Not being able to play with a real distortion guitar really hurt the chance of that happening. I could've brought it out a bit too, but that would've only played to the song's advantage had i actually been able to give the guitar some howl like i would've wanted to. Once i get more of a feel for this new software i'll pump out something prettier.
I'll be honest, this song DOES feel like it could be the last battle. BUT, if the song is suppose to be "the last battle" I was thinking that the song would have more "drama" or more emotion coming out from it. While yes, this song can definitely be a last battle song, it could be used as to say a last battle between rivals... or something around those lines. Overall, its a very good song, but I guess I was expecting more of an emotional song for a final battle, but don't get me wrong as to saying that this song is awesome nonetheless.

Yeah, the problem is the limitations i have with soundfonts and VST's. Not only can i not get a 100% realistic sound out of them, i can't milk them for all they're worth like a real instrument. Real guitars and strings have their own way of being played when following a score (or the orchestra you're playing along with) and since instruments i've used/played with lack the realism, emotion is missing along with that realism.
One day i'll learn to better toy with what i'm using and then i'll be able to make things sound a little more like how i'd want them to rather than just a simple reproduction.
