A simply recorded acoustic Demo of a new song/work in progress. Just me, my acoustic guitar & a mic...

Goodbye, my memory
Wiped clean
by a well-oiled machine

So long, that I forget
All those things I did
that I regret

I forget myself
I forget myself

Don't Forget Me [x4]

Goodbye sweet melody
Lost your friends
for singing way out of key

So long, will they forget?
All those things you said
that you regret

I forget myself
I forgot myself

Don't Forget Me [x4]

I really like this tune, its kind of blue, but its a nice acoustic song that's really calm. Why I'm making a comment at all though is I'm trying to understand these lyrics. What exactly is it about? Is it for the listener to fine out? I feel like this is maybe about a guy who maybe lost everyone who was closed to him, and its been so long since he's had anyone that he's forgotten about them? I feel like I'm wrong though. I really hope you finish this, you really should! 4.5 because its not a full song ;P

Thanks for the comment. Whilst the lyrics mean something specific to me, and are somewhat 'autobiographical' they are open to interpretation. So whatever you think they might mean to you is therefore right;)

Weezer meets Jack Johnson meets Bon Iver. I especially like the falsetto chorus, and your tones are absolutely chill. Please release an album. I will love it to bits.

Kingbastard responds:

I might well;) I'm working on other material atm, but I always pick up the acoustic guitar and have plenty of songs I want to record, so watch this space.............

Another great tune! The chorus is very radiohead-esque
