Interesting tune

I like this, its an interesting tune and has all this "VARIATY" its pretty impressive if you ask me, , its not a heavy tune but thats alright it works out just fine, i could see thisbeing used on some sort of mystery visual flash, something that was very mysterous, but anyways this waspretty good love the unique touch andmystery you gave it especially the end, so very nice effort here.

Well what can i say this wasvery good i didnt find any issues with it, infact i would leave it as is, if anything you could throw in some more mixture, but other then that its notbad.

Thanks a lot for your kind words :D

I am very glad you like especially because i am not used to make modern tracks (i am a little bit old fashioned and prefer doing classical and jazz) and do have to learn a lot of how using synths / bass etc works. I have made the track because of my sisters birthday. I have chosen the frog-theme because frogs are my sisters favourite animals.
I had the idea to combine the track with some kind of vintage comic showing some spacefrog which wears a retro spacesuit and glass-helmet and expires some mysteriouse things or something. The prob is that my drawingskills are too weak so this idea died.

Thanks a lot for your detailed and nice review!

Best wishes

Piano I am hearing kind of reminds me of Super Mario World's Vanilla Dome actually, not too bad for a note pattern that sounds like it is going up forever actually.

The drums here have a dark tone to them and make me think of Luigi's Mansion just a little bit and the change between having them filtered and unfiltered sounds really nice. As if showing what's happening on the outside of things then showing it all on the inside.

The bass is rather mellow and I hear very long elongated notes that give a darker atmosphere to the song. Then the strange synth sounds heard help deliver the space sound as if the frog was just out there looking for something. Lastly, beautiful piano ending. Well played.

Overall, fantastic piece, really enjoyable.

Hey there!

Thanks for your nice review - i am glad you like my piece! (Think i have to play the vanilla dome level again to remember :> ).

"The bass is rather mellow and I hear very long elongated notes that give a darker atmosphere to the song." --> Thats exactly the mood i wanted to create - nice you feel this way! The athmosphere should be sinister, unreal and dark. I like this kind of feelings :>

My plan was to combine the track with a vintage comic, but i think this will take a little time.

As a result of the good criticism of SkyeWintrest i will work the piece a little bit over to raise its quality (hope i will succeed - in any case its worth to give it a try). If you have got some suggestions to make the piece better please tell me, if there are passages within the track you would change - i will be thankful for any constructive criticism :D

So thx again for that nice review!

Huh. Pretty interesting.

-Very nice tunes, it doesn't get boring throughout the whole thing.
-Nice FX you've used throughout it.
-Some very nice piano and chimes.
-Excellent overall mixing.

-The breakdown at 1:11 where everything drops out seems rather out-of-place, and when it comes back in at 1:20, it seemed to have just ended, so that's also rather odd.
-The weird jazzy ending, while being an actual ending (apparently a rare commodity in most popular music), is a bit out-of-place as well, and sounds a bit odd to have all those major chords in it.
-It's sometimes a bit difficult to hear the string/synth bass.
-Could use a bit more of a change in feel with transitions. Even at 1:20 to 1:54 (since that seems to be where it goes back to the initial "theme"), it's not exactly much of a change.

Overall, I really don't have much to critique on this. It's pretty darn good. Just could use a bit more of a change in the feel, some slightly better transitions, and a better ending. Other than that, you're golden. Nice work!

Thank you so much for this really detailed, helpful and complaisant review!! Im very glad you like the track :D

First i have to say, that im still a newcomer at making modern musics and have to get a feeling for making this kind of sound. Its the second "modern piece" i have created and i have to collect much more experiences. The track was created within 2 days because it was a birthday present and i have been in a pretty time pressure.

To the tracks end:
I play the piano since my childhood. On the one hand it helps me giving structure to my pieces, on the other hand its an earnest problem for me, because i am to fixed on the instrument, what corrupted the end :) So i will try to convert the end into a non-piano fadeout.

To the breakdown at 1:11
The reason for the breakdown is, that i had made another midsection first and replaced it with the current version. If i had more time, maybe i would have worked it over, but after i have listened to the track several times i thought, maybe a little phase of quietness could create some tension. Anyway I will think about this point :>

I will overwork the string/synth bass - volume and try to make the feel more versatile!

Thank you for the constructive criticism! :D
