*(tips to freesound.org user sazman for the audio sample of the children - link: "freesound.org/people/saz man/sounds/28500/" without spaces)*
I got home today, sat down at the keyboard, and hit the record button on a whim. This just sort of flowed out.
I won't tell you what I was trying to say, why I called the piece Hold, or why I added children in the background. I want you to find out for yourself, to experience it in your own way. To me, that's what music is really about.
We often forget to stop and appreciate the little things. I hope that you can stop for a moment and experience this the way it was meant to be heard.

Really liked the chord change at 1:21. The children in the background is a nice touch. You have great dynamics when playing. I liked the oscillations from loud to soft and vice versa. I could definitely see this working for film.
I like that change, too - starts in the Em scale on the i, then to the IV, then shifts into what I think was GMaj followed by a BbMaj chord. I'm not 100% sure on that, though. I'd have to check the file to be certain.
Thanks for the review!

Pretty nice sounding, a great ambient track, with the children adding a good background texture, but nothing makes it feel particularly special past that. You still can't ignore the gentle soloing tone's deep lull, that is very relaxing.
"but nothing makes it feel particularly special past that."
Not sure what you were looking for, but I appreciate the review nonetheless.

Loved it!
The melody was soothing and your piano phrasing was great!
Loved the little kids in the background.
sounds like its from a Hayao Miyazaki film

PS: I never give 5 stars EVER!
"sounds like its from a Hayao Miyazaki film"
I love everything I've seen by Miyazaki, and the music is always beyond exceptional. To me, that's one of the highest compliments I could receive. Thank you.
