Silk lines over metal riffage

This is my entry for the March/April MAC12

* The writing idea here was to combine riffs and leads, and let you choose which to listen to.

* Writing included alot of layering, my favorite afterall. Wrote 8 guitar parts layered into the chorus alone.

* In Post, I made sure each of the million parts could pop; some parts just a little.

* The recording process had some work too. Lots of mics, slight movements.

* I even magnet swapped the lead guitar mid-song for the most subtle effect that couldn't be bought with EQ.

* Yes...I tore open my guitar, removed a pickup, and swapped a part in it to carry on.

WELL, I've said too much already. Just go for it =]
....Solo at 2:20

It made me...(fill here with ear gizzing lines). There's only ONE thing that got my attention: the guitar wasn't loud enough during the solo! The guitar's suppost to cry, and take the lead, toning down all other instruments. Let it be known there was a solo, you know? I didn't really notice it was a solo until until 2:42. It may be a bad example, but check the solo from 5:30-6:00 on dragonforce's song-operation ground and pound. Yes we know a lot of their music isn't real, but they make it clear which instrument is soloing and when. So to put it simply, tone that GUITAR UP MAN! >:D and...Rock on! (pumps fist)

Hahaha lmao@dragonforce reference
Sorry bud; I've actually been guilty of making solos too loud or over compressed or ducked everythig else via sidechain.
Guess I just wanted all the parts to shine
Thanks for the review!

I want to play this with my band.
