Deadmau5 - Raise Your Weapon (Ben's Remix)

This is my first attempt at Dubstep, which seems to be what all the kids are listening to these days, anyway, hopefully it's alright. And yes, there isn't really any wobble bass in this, you know why? Because it sounds disgusting.

I do realize the original was Dubstep already (kind of), but I'm not at a stage where I'm able to make anything original yet, so sorry about that. Anyway, enjoy!

I really like your approach to this. The only thing I can sprinkle on the cake that the others didn't state is why the vocals are overdone. It's just because they're too loud, too much reverb. If you toned it down some, brought those drums to life and sidechain compress a little more it would blend a lot more smoothly. Not that it doesn't already, just..better. (:
Also if you ever do try dubstep in the future look for those punchy kicks and snares, stay away from 303 and 808 kicks and such. d:

not going to lie here so..
great remix, its not really the dubstep i normally to listen to or hear on radio's or w/e
but i can give it a spot alright, its a unique sound, and anything 'unique' is spot on.

the vocals are maybe.. a bit overdone? i dont know why..
i think i, just like chimera dont like it?
while the original song gives me the bumps because of the amazing vocals.
its a wonderfull remix, still.

This is a really great track you have here minus the vocals, as strange as that sounds. I know this is supposed to be a remix, but the music alone would stand tall.

I like that you didn't use a wobble bass, what you've chosen to do instead works really well with your style.

Right up until about 0:55 I thought this song was going to completely blow my mind. But the vocals came in and left me mourning. At 1:11, I quit mourning and started celebrating the track's death. Then 1:50 hit and I fell in love. I could keep going on and name every section that doesn't have vocals, but I think you've got the point by now.

Take away those vocals, man. The music is better without 'em.

OK, now I've got to make a choice... if you really think the vocals are that bad, maybe I should take them out. I'm glad you liked the rest though!

Also, I listened to your track. I really liked it, just one tip though, maybe bring the kick forward and give it more bass, it sounds a bit too clicky. Otherwise, nice work ;)
