I was really getting into improving this song: fixing a few EQ problems, adjusting the fade out of just about anything that faded out, and adding a third section to it, but then when I tried to open the file once, the damn thing was corrupted. Very disappointing.

So this will never be as good as I wanted it to be, but I figure it's still /something/, so here you go. I really wish I could finish this song.

It's not exactly bad, but it's far from good. It's a good start, I dunno if I've said this to you before or not but... Keep on creating more songs, and even if they sound like crap you're always going to learn something from every song you make. Eventually you'll start to make really good music. I've been making music for almost 4 1/2 years now, and I'm still not "professional sounding". Electronic music takes time to master, time to learn. Keep at it. Don't give up, ever. Just keep on making more songs! Learn, learn, and learn! So much to learn! And so much fun in the process.

Also just to add this in here somewhere, once you find a genre that you enjoy producing, stick with it. Learn the structure, study other peoples work to get ideas and concepts down. Always start with the basics, and then slowly add on.

I hope this helps a little bit, it's mostly just me ranting on. And don't be offended, I promise you if you stick with it, you'll reach the goal you wanna reach.

Produce on!

Don't you say that. Your music IS professional sounding and you know it. But yes, this is why I upload nearly everything I do, even if it's crap. I put it here, get feedback, a few tips, and dig back in with another.

Lately I've been into producing trance, but at the same time I thoroughly enjoy hardstyle. I guess I'll stick to trance, because I'm no good at some of the finer points of hardstyle.

Don't worry, I'm not offended! I'm glad for any feedback, well, short of something like 'ur gay'. Seriously, thank you!

This song was. . . alright. I understand that you couldn't finish it, so i guess i will give my thoughts on what it is missing. First off, it is quite unimaginative other then the small break in the middle of the song, it is pretty much just a loop of 10 seconds repeating its self. There is also not a whole lot of substance. It never really grabs your attention and sucks you in. Also the lack of bass in this song is really quite off putting. Like I don't know if you even put any in? There are bigger problems then just the EQ in this song. I could only hope that the third part of this would have brought in something a bit more substantial to make up for the rest.

Perhaps, if this was shortened to about 1:30 or so, it would make a good opener for something with a bit more ommph. Not that bad of an idea, i can see this being a very decent opening, then having it drop into something a bit more bass heavy. Sorry i couldn't give a better score. Keep working and i know you will make something great.

MisterJayElectro responds:

Good to hear something constructive. I actually didn't add bass, though I had it at the end of this clip in the .flp, and was planning to add more. Seemed like every time I tried adding it, it just sucked.

Repetition too - just couldn't get variety without losing what I wanted. Good to hear my mistakes though, helps me not suck so bad. Thank you!
