Easy Listening - Jazz

Author Comments

I had a chance today to do some recording, so I grabbed my trigger trombone and my bass trombone and made this in a multi-track as pure improv. in Ab. It's a bit more of a swing-dixie piece. Excuse the mistakes, I should have done a slower tempo but I wanted to do fast swing... Note that there is no pre-defined form, so it tends to ramble. The only rules I kept in mind was 1. keep it in Ab and 2. keep it with the beat (somewhat).

Where could I get a trigger trombone? Played with a few high schoolers and two of them ad one.

samulis responds:

Check out some music stores in your area. I recommend getting a used one, just make sure it's in good shape. You should only need the one trigger- the F Trigger. If it has two, it's a Bass trombone. Good luck!

Nice inspirations. Although I does sound like march tunes. Sorry I can't put it out of my mind!

Good job bro.

samulis responds:

Thanks... some dixie does draw from march themes and such from what I have listened to.

I truely love the rythm of this ! Too bad it's so short !

samulis responds:

I would have made it longer, but I didn't want to make a bad mistake and then have to restart.
