This song is a waltz, written in 3/4,and features a slightly modified rounded binary form. Also,as the song progresses, the melodic line(s) get more complicated and ornamented.

This piece is very inspired and influenced by a number of piano solos in compound key signatures, most notably Op.9 No.2,By Frederic Chopin,And although Chopin was Polish, the two countries were side by side and shared many events in European history.(Fun Fact:Frederick is my middle name!)

I used a Rounded Binary Form and changed it up a little by making the coda a bridge, and then a key change into the A Section again. The form is as follows(AABABACAA)

Also,I made the progression(s) by looking at the scores from the many standard waltzes from the same time period.

Lastly,I did want to make a kind of fusion piece,so i took the idea/form of composing from Op.9 No.2 by making the melody more intricate each time(Capping off at the key signature change).

I Hope you enjoy!

Good point: The part writing is great! Idiomatic lines for each instrument, carefully crafted dynamic balance, effective melodies and harmony.

Point for improvement: mastered somewhat lacklusterly. Maybe up sound quality, could do with some Eqing and compression as well though. Also that percussion sounded very computerised, perhaps would be better without? :/

Good point: Clear and convincing Waltz style, recognisably Germanic!

Repping it up for RAC5 :D

Nimble responds:

Thank you! I really enjoyed making this so I'm happy someone is appreciating.
