Reminds me of something out of a dire situation in a sci-fi series or game, well done.

Sounds like an intro into something spectacular, but it just drops at the end. I, however, really like that; its concise structure. Its deceiving nature. Your sound choice in this is perfect. I don't exactly see the vision you put. I do see a vast cold landscape, but rather an airship army whizzing past overhead as you realize you are traveling to the same location that the army is headed.
