I kinda miss the morning fish market at Waterford dock. So here is the song to express my feeling currently.

Mostly woodwinds and solo strings. Just my style.

Also, Wurfel-Waffles challenged me on this NAC thingy. Sure I never join any contest but you just made me.

Take this, Wurfel.

This song has a very intense jig quality to it. The quality of sounds used is questionable. This definitely sounds like a MIDI rip purely because of the cheesey sounds. The composition of the tune itself is quite good. This would sound very amazing with real instrumentation. About 2/3 of the way through the piece, it did start to get a bit repetitive. Excellent work staying within the contest criteria!

I figure out you might not be the first one to say it sounds like a rip. My professor said the same thing. Problems are because this is the work of a scrambled egg of melodies and poor choices of instruments.

No sir. I'm not the kind of composer who rip things. I'm too cautious not to violate any law because I'm a certificated composer.

Thank you for the comment a lot.

Awesomely celtic! But you do lose points on the quality of your samples, especially when it comes to sample repeats, the synth nature of the samples becomes way too apparent. Great composition with various segments, that's a good one, just not perfect.

interestingly enough this has the same kinda vibe as one of the other NAC contestants - guess you both got it bang on with that fiddley celtic vibe :)

The work on the instrumentation was superb in this piece - all the little nuances of the notes is notable.. however around 1:30.. things just don't feel.. timed right.. I just feel a disruption in the flow.. which I feel is regrettable.. I don't know if you simply tried something different there or what.. but imo it didn't work too well. Around 2:15 I find it stabilizes again and once again becomes great!

Still.. gotta dock ya marks for that one part.

9/10

I understand what you implying. Well, it's a challenception. It's our challenge within your challenge. We had musical 'war' right before NAC. With Wuffel-Waffles. Which also why it caused me to join the contest (normally I don't do contest).

The different is I never actually fiddling anything. It's 100% pure computer work. Scrap work.

Basically I mimic whatever Waffles did in his previous tracks. Instruments, composition and arrangement. I kinda blew the instruments part because I used pure Soundfont orchestra packs. (which was why you questioned we had similar 'fiddling').

I have to admit I'm jealous of what Waffles is capable off. He deserves his 2nd place well.

Woow man what you did there was 3:58 minutes of pure originality. You just take the solo string to the next level, I am so impressed with the way you kept the balance of so many solo instruments at the same time and it still sound so united. I love the viola parts (or cello) where you just made those realistic articulation. Another thing was the mixing it just sounded celestial!!!

Really you just blow my whole body and soul :D and sorry for my english

Waterford is a great place. Although I never stayed there long enough to know the city but I have to admit Waterford is the gem of Ireland. I like Dublin better tho.

Once again, you have proven to be a goddamn master at simplicity and creativity. Fuck man, you beat me at using woodwinds.

You took the rhythm totally to the next level: double bass, guitar and marimba!

When you said you gonna do epic stuff and I thought you were going to do some dramatic film score stuff like Lord of The Ring. Turned out to be more than just 'epic'.

I am blown away with your fucking creativity. You took viola and cello to the new usages. Well done.

Nah, Dublin isn't my favorite place. I know you lived there for over 3 years and apparently you loved it like you love your frig of waffles.

Thank you. *bow*

There is drum in other another version but I think I really don't want heavy beats at the time since I want to reenact the chilling and restfulness feelings.

EDIT: Guess my previous reply was quite rude even though I DID lock your LinkedIn :) Restored it bro.
