My first submission in 2012! Here's another Final Fantasy piece for all you fans out there.

This version of Terra's theme/the main theme from FFVI is softer than the one from the game, but it still has that same epic and triumphant feel. It's comprised mainly of piano, flute, and harp, as well as strings and a bit of brass just to round things out. I wanted this to remain orchestral, yet with a more light and airy sound most of the time. It somehow seems to increase the overall "fantasy feel" of the piece...at least in my opinion.

This song makes me feel Sad and Hopeful at the same time. Great Beautiful Song. Keep making songs like this they are awesome and I mean Awesome in the Literal Definition. I am Awe Struck.

ChronoNomad responds:

Aw, thanks! I'm glad that the overall themes of sadness and hope are so well received. Early on in the game there's a discussion between Banon and Terra that refers to the opening of Pandora's Box, and that single ray of hope that is left when all those other horrific things are released. To me, it's kind of like that. I truly appreciate the review, and I hope (there's that word again) that you will enjoy more of the music that I have on offer!

WOW... just.... WOW!!!! i didn't think it'd be possible to make something like that and still sound so true and respectful to the original theme.

I got the GBA copy of the song and its almost as good as this take. i imagin it took you a lot of time to actually make all of the arrangements and fits to create something so wonderfully good, can't stop listening to it now xP

faved, added and dl'd for my personnal pleasure ;P i'll always think of this song when i play FF6 from now onward ^_^

ChronoNomad responds:

This is one of those songs that clings tightly to my subconscious long after the initial release of the game. I still go back to the world of FFVI periodically, and it's like reliving the memories of a bygone age. While the seventh installment is so often heralded as the best game in the series for its leap into 3D landscapes, polygonal characters and enemies, as well as the classic cut-scenes we all know and love, my heart will always belong to its immediate predecessor.

Many thanks for the add, making me one of your favorites, and for taking the time to review and comment. I hope that you will stop by again and check out some of my other remixes, covers, and original compositions. :)
