Bezo: Did you know that the old version of this song is featured in a comedic porn film clip? That's how I found this site. Did you give permission for them to use it?

Here's the clip (and no, I'm not promoting the link, just providing information to make sure your artistic property rights are respected):

I like it how you're trying out some new stuff and it sounds great.
However, when you compare it to it's predecessor i find this version slightly worse.
this has 2 main reasons:
1: the overal feeling of epicness has decreased
2: the vocals seem slightly of. especially the part when you say: if you can call that living.

these 2 arguments are probably here because I still listen to the original to this very day and still find it extremely awesome. And maybe I'm just to stubborn to accept any change, but there you have it. For those reasons I'll give a 4.5

Bezo responds:

I am really not happy with the vocals myself. But unfortunately, I lack soundproofing and live next to a bunch of noisy assholes, so it's very difficult for me to record any vocal tracks anymore. Hopefully I'll be able to set up my studio in a more soundproof location in the near future.

I will try and rerecord the vocals again soon. Luckily, thanks to Newgrounds new system, I can replace this file instead of having to continually upload new versions (which is something that always makes me feel like kind of a buzzkill).

Now I just wish I could delete entries entirely. Thanks for the review.

This song really comes off as kind of a joke, which considering the site you posted it one could be seen as a good thing. However I really can't take this song seriously due to the way the instruments were mixed. For instance, the drums sound okay but they tend to suffer from Lars-ulrich-cymbal syndrome, by which I mean they sound watery and tend to drown out the rest of the drums. The guitar is also placed too low in the mix, which is pretty much the opposite of a typical 80's song, and the vocals were placed so high in the mix that (even though they were done quite well) they had a tendency to give me a headache.

3.5 for the song plus 0.5 for the concept.

Bezo responds:

This is the most constructive review I've gotten in the last 7 years of posting music to Newgrounds. Thank you. I will consider applying your changes to the existing mix (except the drums because I don't know how to fix that one).
