This song needs some mastering and a couple of sounds and its done. Tell me if the empty parts are distracting.

Nothing distracting about the empty parts. My headphones aren't very good, so the bass sounds a little fuzzy to me, but I know that's just because my headphones aren't that great. It does need a few more sounds, and I can imagine some synths like the really short subdued ones that chime in after every two bars helping a great deal. If you did add some of those, I'd work them around the hook, it just seems natural to me to do it that way. Although, maybe I'm speaking too soon. The sax added from 4:06 on might be a good substitute as well, but it would seem such a shame to overplay that magical part of the song.

This is why I only listen to music, I don't make it. I take too long figuring these things out in my head. Anyways, even in its raw form, this beat has got some great stuff in it. It's simple, but catchy; it got stuck in my head an hour after listening to it only once.

Thanks for the advice. Those are some sound ideas. Maybe you should get into producing. I like subtlety so i will add some sounds but they will be subdued into the track. Thanks for the tips.

I could hear someone like One Be Lo or Nas over this
