So I was bored tonight, and I have had this on my "To Do" list for quite some time now. I figured, why not finish it while I have the time?! SO I did.

This is just a loop tribute to one of my favorite VG melodies of all time. I hope you enjoy it. And--as always--if you don't like it, let me know why. It's how I grow ^_^

Always a delight to hear a new song out of you. For the longest time after the redesign, I couldn't get the audio player on Newgrounds to work. I was quite peeved when this song came out and I couldn't listen to it. Finally got it working now, and it seems it was worth the trouble. I get to hear a new song from my favorite VG remixer.

I always loved this little melody, so I was interested to see what you might do with it. Definitely loving it. It has an interesting change in atmosphere from the original. It has more of a soaring feel, if that makes sense, like it's not a file select screen anymore, but rather something you might hearing soaring through space in Super Mario Galaxy. I love the vocals, that was an awesome touch. As usual, the use of piano sounded great, really added to the feeling. Oddly enough though, while I normally love your use of voice clips from the games in your songs, I wasn't as crazy about it this time. I think it's because it could have used a bit more space between the voice clip and the music. If you're going to have the music fade out before a voice clip, let the music fade out more before the clip starts, and don't instantly jump into the next melody a nanosecond after the clip finishes, wait a quick fraction of a second. The way you have it now it doesn't seem as smooth. I like how you did it with the first voice clip in "Love, Midna" if you want to get an idea what I mean. Of course, I realize this song is faster paced so there will be less space, but I still feel like the transition doesn't sound as smooth as it could here. Aside from that, no complaints, really. This is definitely the best remix I've heard of this song.

The original file select began to annoy me after 5 min, not this it feels quite variable and different while still the same, love the slight bit of vocals added a nice touch.

Nintendo should use this theme next if they're trying to remake SM64 on the 3DS or something! Great Job!! :D
