The Haze Over Fallenguard - Part IV
I don't have much to say about the music here so perhaps it's time to explain what "Fallenguard" is. Sometime last year my friends and i made a Risk board. We just got a big piece of fancy paper and drew out the continents and territories and what not and named everything so we could play on it. Each continent sort of had a theme and one was a medieval theme. So one of the names we came up with was "Fallenguard", i think it was actually my friend John who came up with it (it's from a novel or something), and the territory is sort of in between two other continents so we figured it would get fought over a lot for the continent bonus. So the idea is the sort of civilization that would be in that territory has been destroyed because of all the war. So in a sense the guard has fallen. I just thought it was a cool idea and it sort of conjured a lot of imagery into my head so i thought it would be cool to work in my my songs, particularly my instrumental songs. So Fallenguard is a ruined city or a whole territory that has been plagued by war. It's a good theme for heavy metal i suppose.

Epic but the drum sound way too overbassed !
Hey, i didn't see this until now. Thanks for the reviewing! I program the drums in Fruity Loops, and i agree they are a bit bassy, i suppose i should play with the EQ. I'm just happy i'm not using midi anymore!

The only thing that bugs me about this is how the drums sound muffled. Good but muffled.
Well, thanks i guess! I'll take the 4/5 stars as a complement.

Well worth the wait, as this comes pretty close to the epitome of pure badass!
The drums seem to sound less computerized than usual, and the whole track is powerful.
I can imagine the battletorn land of Fallenguard being a pretty rough place.. I've got to give the series a listen chronological again now!
WinglessStudios idea with brass/strings could be interesting, if done right.
a clean 5/5
Thanks man! Yeah i think the drums did turn out nicely this time. I have the hi-hats and cymbals a bit louder than usual so maybe that livens it up a bit. Thanks for the review man!

Pretty badass! I like the whole inspiration for the deal as well. I like your riffs simple yet effective. You should add some brass or strings to go along with the longer more drawn out riffs in your song.
Keep it up!
I see you like the sort of symphonic type thing. I have a keyboard i can try that kind of stuff. Thank you for the review!
